Programs and Services
Sister Cities International offers programs and services that give members a chance to enrich and grow their networks in several different areas. From introducing your city to prospective sister cities to structuring a program from the ground up, Sister Cities International staff are there to help members every step of the way. Sister Cities International also offers programs that engage youth from your community in the sister city movement. The Young Artists and Authors Showcase and the High School Homestay exchange program promote great cultural opportunities for the next generation of citizen diplomats. The Annual Awards give sister city programs international recognition for each winning community's achievements and contributions to citizen diplomacy.

Cities Seeking Cities: Looking for a sister city? Our Cities Seeking Cities program provides you with dedicated staff assistance and the necessary connections to municipal officials, twinning organizations, and the diplomatic community to help you find a partner city. Click here for details.
Governance and Policy Services: Confused about how to start a sister city organization, structure your bylaws, or establish other policies to lay the foundation for a sister city program? High School Homestay: This exchange program enables member cities to host high school students for a year or semester. We assist with processing exchange visas for the youth and makes it a simple and rewarding experience for students and host families. Click here for details.
Young Artists & Authors Showcase: Open to all youth in member cities, the Showcase is a chance for them to submit artwork, essays, and poems inspired by an annual theme. Winners receive cash prizes and top entries tour the U.S. Click here for details.
